Welcome to Jumeirah Royal Saray, the Bahraini sister hotel of Jumeirah Al Arab- the world famous 7 star hotel in Dubai. Airy and opulent, the Royal Saray provides a luxurious break from reality. I would say the Royal Saray is the lesser known equal to the Ritz as the two share a coast with similar beaches and roughly the same price.
Because we stayed during COVID the lobby and other communal areas were probably less busy than normal. The lighting throughout the hotel is absolutely magical and the decor wasn’t super masculine which is a trend with a lot of lux hotels.
Pro tip: I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again… bring an easy mixer (like coconut rum in this case) and spike your own mocktails to save huge money! That’s why we are so happy here- fiscal responsibility.

Tanita puts the rest of us to shame. We loved waking up at sunrise to explore without lots of lurking people. The colors were absolutely magical.
